Nigel Olsson is better known when Elton John's first drummer and one of the early drummers in the strong rock band Uriah Heep (ca. 1970). Olsson played drums and sang backing vocals on John's first many albums. Within 1975, Olsson along with bass guitarist Dee Murray were released from either a b&, & Olsson observed act as a studio musician and enjoy modest profits as a solo artist. Within 1981, he and Murray returned to Elton's band, but only for quaternity supplementary years. Olsson's next fully instance gig didn't are until 1991, when he joined a band Warpipes, which was founded by another Elton John friend, Davey Johnstone. A band folded fallowing of these album. Olsson spent a next couple years relaxing inside California with his wife & boy, racing vintage cars for fun. Olsson eventually manufactured his triumphant go to to Elton John's band for good within 2000 as part of his touring band, alternating between drums and backing vocals on certain songs.(The songs Olsson didn't play drums on, typically a freshly songs, were handled by Curt Bisquera.) Nigel took over a good-whale drumming task whilst Bisquera left to pursue more projects. Olssin, never seen on stage forgoing his trademark headphones and gloves, has been said to have a soulful singing voice.
